Swell Shoe for MIDI pedalboard - Wood

With a Classic Swell Shoe kit (SSM-001), a Classic MIDI pedalboard can be equipped with expression pedals and a crescendo pedal that look and feel just like those on a good pipe-organ console. Up to three shoes can be installed on the Classic MIDI Pedalboard. For use as a crescendo pedal, the shoe can be optionally mounted 3/8" higher than the other shoes.

For strength and rigidity, the mounting brackets are made of 0.125" steel and clamp directly onto the Classic MIDI Pedalboard. The foot-rest is wood and finished in red walnut, and the mounting brackets are painted black.

A rack-and-pinion gear drives a potentiometer (variable resistor) that is connected to the Classic MIDI Keyboard or the MKSC-4A MIDI keyscan computer located inside the Classic MIDI pedalboard. Operating the shoe causes voltage changes which the MKSC-4A detects and converts to corresponding MIDI volume-controller messages.

Description

The bench is finished with a walnut-stained wood-veneer to match our popular MIDI pedalboard. The bench is sufficiently wide to accommodate AGO standard pedalboards.

To reduce shipping costs, the unit is flat packed and requires assembly. A Phillips screw driver and hammer are all that is required.

These keycheeks are designed to fit a four-stack of all of Classic's current pistonless, CMK2 and CMK3 keyboard types.

They are a satin black finish and have blind fasteners for a seamless assembly. All is flat packable and can be assembled in minutes.

The included music rack is movable both horizontally and vertically and is also removeable.

Toe Stud Kits

A removable back comes standard as part of this package. It provides added security and elegance if the back is to be visible.

Monitors or touchscreens sit on either side of the key-cheeks to give you virtual stop jams. You also have the option of using a through-hole mounting monitor mount.

The console is designed to accommodate the Peerless LCV-100 monitor mounts. However, the hole placement should be compatible with most mounts with a similar post.

There is a reservoir in behind the console to accomodate and access a tower as big as a Mac Pro. Also included is a two-rackspace shelf, with cable channels, to accomodate your other audio gear so that few, if any, wires are visible from the front. The console has enough space for 3 MIDI Works swell shoes when they are mounted on a MIDI Works pedalboard.
