Build Your Own Virtual Pipe Organ (VPO)
MIDIWorks has everything you need to build your own MIDI console, and it is modular, so start small with just 2 manuals and build your dream instrument over time. We use the highest quality Fatar TP-60 keyboards with velocity-sensing and tracker touch; your choice of plastic, or wood-covered keys, in cherry or ebony (reverse-color); pistons, swell shoes, toe-studs as made for use in pipe organs; an easy to assemble console with real toe-stud bolsters! Hauptwerk
The world's premier VPO software, is fully compatible with MIDIWork's hardware. Pipe organs from all over the world have been recorded and sampled by various producers and groups and can be purchased/downloaded to run with Hauptwerk.
Cantorum Duo
The new Cantorum Duo is a 2 manual portable organ by Viscount. The latest addition to the world acclaimed Cantorum line, it offers 30 voices in four styles, convenient stoptab arrangement, and built-in amplification, providing everything at your fingertips to experience the latest sampled sound technology available in a digital organ. A straight pedalboard is show above, however a concave radiating pedalboard is normally shipped. The factory is up and running again, and we are expecting a new shipment in late August. Organteq
Organteq is a physically modeled pipe organ which you can install on your computer (PC/Mac/Linux). MIDIWorks also offers Organteq in a NUC (miniPC running Linux), as a standalone unit, for use in VPOs or real pipe organs.
By utilizing the same physical modelling software as Modartt's award-winning virtual instrument - Pianoteq, the playability and complex behaviors of real acoustic instruments are simulated. By omitting usage of samples, the file size is just a tiny fraction of that offered by other virtual organs, perfect for use on any modern laptop or MINI PC.
The sound is generated in real time from scratch, reproducing the typical and variable pipe attack transients "chiff" as well as the 3D configuration, where pipes are located in space according to their keyboards. Even the action noises from keys, stops and couplers are modeled. All this makes the instrument livelier than sample based variants, bringing more realistic variability in attack and sustain.
